A development plan for each person, linked to the work behind it
An individual development plan with focus areas, actions, due dates, check-ins and manager approval. Start it from a released appraisal, a 360 round or a closed PIP, and let a finished course complete its action by itself.

What development plans does in NeevHR
Plan, focus and actions
Focus areas from your skills or in your own words. Actions can be a course, a project, a mentor, a certification or on the job, each with a due date and progress.
Manager approval
The employee or manager drafts, the manager approves or sends it back, and each step stays in the plan's history. Nobody approves their own plan.
Started from the record
Start from a released appraisal, a 360 round, a Talent Review or a Succession entry. A closed PIP can lead to a plan, and the two stay separate records.
Learning linked
A course action enrols the person on approval, and finishing the course completes the action.
Skill gaps as focus areas
Skill gaps and low 360 competencies appear as suggested focus areas, for the manager or HR to pick.
Discussed in 1:1
Open actions show in the 1:1, and an action item can link to one.
Right people, right view
A mentor sees only their action. An employee never sees a talent or succession source. A private note stays with its author, HR included.
AI draft
When switched on, a draft plan on a click, for a person to edit. It decides nothing.

Development plans: frequently asked questions
What is an individual development plan?
A written plan for one person: what they will grow in, the actions they will take, by when, and who agrees it.
Is a development plan the same as a PIP?
No. A PIP deals with a performance gap and has its own register. A closed PIP can lead to a development plan, and the two stay separate.
Will an employee learn they are a successor from their plan?
No. An employee's view never shows a talent or succession source.
